DUKE: REFLECTING ON MASTERS DISSERTATIONS 35 supervisees provides support for the future application of rew & Peseta’s criteria to taught postgraduate supervision. With this in mind, this paper is broken into three distinct sections. In the first section, I outline the background to this practitioner enquiry and my reasons for undertaking it Critical Reflection. A Critical Reflection (also called a reflective essay) is a process of identifying, questioning, and assessing our deeply-held assumptions – about our knowledge, the way we perceive events and issues, our beliefs, feelings, and actions. What Is Critical Reflection?
